Bear farming RnD to end by May

Seok Kyu Beak, Bureau Head of Natural Resource

The Bureau head of Natural Resource at MOE, Seok Kyu Beak has declared that the investigation for bear farming shall be completed by May in order to end bear farming and stop breeding. The comprehensive plan for ending the bear farming should be submitted by this May. 

 
Reports of worsening conditions at farms and desperate please from farmers have emerged in media. Illegal bear fat cosmetics are reported to be advertised in Japan, Korea, and China.
 
The moon bear is a threatened and vulnerable species (IUCN).

    This is great news! Now maybe China will follow their lead. I only recently found out about this bear bile farming, and every story I read distresses me even more. Finally we have some hope here. I’ve been tweeting to every famous animal lover I can think of to speak out on this, also donated to Animals Asia. Thank you to everyone working to free these bears from hell on earth.
